Default ATs in RR pot vs Cumicon, all streets interesting

Villain is 29/25 or so, and is ultra-aggro in RR pots w/win every pot syndrome. He is a strong thinking player and probably capable of anything, but probably fights too hard for pots.

I am 34/29 or so and 3bet him relentlessly. We haven't had too much history this session, but we've definitely clashed in the past. He probably knows that I am also a strong thinking player.

The hand:

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $10/$20
5 players
Converter

Effective stacks $2275

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds, Button raises to $60, SB folds, Hero raises to $220, Button calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($450, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $320, Hero calls.

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($1090, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $680, Hero calls.

River: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2450, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button is all-in $1055, Hero folds.

There has to be a better way to play this.

In retrospect, I think leading the flop is probably better since he might try to float me, but I feel kind of uncomfortable bloating the pot early with such a weak hand.

Thoughts?

Once cumicon bets the flop (and especially the turn) you should be prepared for this line because your hand is obviously weak Ax or TT-KK most of the time. That said, it's fine and I would fold the river most of the time but certainly call some %. I'd also fold the turn a lot.

hands like this are seriously impossible to comment on. There are tons of lines that could be far and away the best line but it completely depends on the specific history you have together and what happened the last 5 times you reraised and got this flop texture etc etc.

I hadn't played with him in a while and this is the first time we'd seen a flop together. I can't remember details about how we'd played against each other in the past, just that he's good and hates folding.

wtf snap call the river. he could still be valuebetting any ace and possibly making a hopeless bluff to push you off QQ/KK.

Then imo you should be either folding turn or calling turn AND river given stacks, Id have to see timing to be more sure but Id rather you do one or the other. Leading and then check calling down is probably better against this player but this line is fine too.

maybe river is a T, A, [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or 8; maybe he's firing 2 barrels with air and giving up on the river?

these were my thoughts on the turn

looks like the installment plan to me.

if your 3bet range in this spot is heavy on aces (at least from his perspective), its a tougher situation, and i think taking this line is fine. if its lighter on aces and heavier on pocket pairs/SCs/whatever, then you can probably bet flop and stack off against a guy like this.
