25-50 live hu
i don't have much hu experience, but i'm trying to learn. last two nights i played the same guy hu for about 6 or 7 hrs total, i found myself in quite a few interesting spots, here's one of em.
10k stacks. i raise on the button to 150 with Tc9c, he calls. flop comes T86 rainbow with the 8c. he checks, i bet 200, he raises 400 more, i call. (he has not been c/r'ing me much, this was maybe the 2nd or 3rd time this session.) turn is the Ac. he checks, hmm. should i check or bet? how much? in the actual hand i bet 800, he calls. river pairs the 6, not a club; so the final board is Tx8c6x Ac 6x. he checks again, should i check or bet? how much? |

Re: 25-50 live hu
I often just check because its very often a split with Tx but since you beat/split with his "bluff catching" range here making a big bet will probably win the pot for you often here. Unless the combined chance that he is either holding a 6 or knows you a very unlikely to have a 6 on the river and will c/r bluff you is high enough.

Re: 25-50 live hu
I really dont like the turn bet. Seems like a pretty good card for him to try and double CR you on. I doubt hes folding better (KT TQ maybe, but not always), but he will fold worse. Id take the free card.
On the river given how we got here id just check. He could have some random ace that he wont fold and your hand has a ton of showdownvalue but no betting value. |

Re: 25-50 live hu
This is flow dependent blah blah but I would just check since it looks like he hit an ace on the turn and now he has two pairs
Also I don't bet the turn because the A is such a good card for him to bluff and the fact that he didn't bet it prob means he has some sort of hand or a draw+moderate showdown value, and doesn't wanna get raised here |

Re: 25-50 live hu
if you're betting this turn, you're not getting worse to call or better to fold unless he has specifically 9J. I don't mind a bet with these stacks if you don't think he'll check-raise often (basically to build the pot) but generally it's a check... especially against anyone decently tricky. if he's really tight you might get him off a better ten.
The river is a bet if you had checked the turn, and it's a check once you bet the turn... except now you are chopping with KT, QT, and JT... which seem to be the most likely hands for him the way this went down - so I'd probably pot it expecting to get him off a chop most of the time. Generally standard though just in general is to check this turn and sometimes bet the river, depending on what the river is. |
