Readless I'd probably fold here but I'd hate it. If I had any indication whatsoever that villain was donk I'd let it ride. But against an unknown I've just gotta believe that this is KK or AA.

my thought process was exactly the same as yours except i was about to fold then thought hold on most NL25 players are donks and also the betting pattern here to me suggested not AA/KK and after ages i called. Just wondering what you guys think of that?

I think villain may show up with JJ or AK enough here to make this call close to break even. It's a strange large shove and most NL25 players are donks, but sometimes the better players use this tactic with AA, KK bc they feel they will be called by such hands as AQ and 99. I hate a fold here, but I'm not too confident in a call. I agree with you that villain does not always show AA/KK here.

If you have reason to believe that he thinks you are 3betting lightly or if you have seen him do something like this before, I'd snap call. Readless though a fold is probably your best option.

For the "real" answer though as to what I would do...I've called these more than once. It isn't always AA or KK. I've been beaten by an improved AKo and even ridiculous stuff like small pp's. Occasionally I'll actually beat them too!

I think you see small to medium pairs here a lot.
