My waitress was cute. Uh oh.
I just had lunch at 11am after a meeting at a local bar/lunch place. It's on campus so it has a lot of students there (and working there) even though it's summer.
My waitress was student-ish and very cute (to me). I am also student-ish, so that's not an issue. I ate by myself, but it was also 11am so no one was outside with me. I guess I innocently flirted a bit as we discussed the merits of the boneless buffalo wing and the regular one. Later I made a comment about some drink they have there and she started telling me about another bar elsewhere and their specials, etc. So basically I did get some face time and I think she would recognize me without a doubt if I came back again. I really want to come back again. I also really want to [censored] her- even if it means dating her. Simple solution is come back next week at the same time. But I want to have a plan- this is someone who probably gets hit on a fair amount (as she's pretty and young and works at a place w/ tons of students). -Can it be done? -How is it done? I think I have the benefit of going back when it is equally empty, hoping she'll recognize me and going from there. I'm planning to go to the bar she suggested so I can mention that next time. Any other ideas? I've never asked someone out as they were working...seems kind of sketchy. Also, in case this sucks please go here and watch this 45 second video (requires sound) that will make you laugh. A lot. funny vid Also, in case that video sucks or you don't have sound, check out these 4 amazing seconds here |

Re: My waitress was cute. Uh oh.
go back and ask her out, is that to difficult these days? when she told about another bar with specials, that was your key to ask her to take you to said bar.

[/ QUOTE ] Odds are quite good she will not recognize you, since, as you say, she probably gets tons of dudes in there trying to flirt with her. Even if she does, going to that bar as a conversational gambit seems weird, if not insane. If you wanted to bring that up, it seems like a better move would be to just ask her if she wants to go there later, something like that. |

Re: My waitress was cute. Uh oh.
Waitresses flirt with any male customer because it gets them a bigger tip (no pun intended).

Re: My waitress was cute. Uh oh.
Meh, while I agree there is always some degree of 'working it for $' going on, since the place was empty we talked a couple times for a while which is something as far as I'm concerned.
But basically...do people ask out people while they are working? That seems so weird, didn't they do that in Mallrats?? |
