Default Well that sure is weird

60/120
I have no idea who anyone is. I just sat down.
Asian guy limps utg (I've seen him limp a few hands), I limp next in with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], maybe 1 other limper, blinds come.

flop 4-5 ways: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
utg bets, I just call (whatever), rest fold.

turn hu: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
utg now checks, I bet, he tanks for 8 secs and then c/rs, I tank for the same 8secs and 3ball his ass, he calls.

river: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
utg donks, my play?

You should just call because his hand looks a lot like a set/Q9 and makes no sense for any hands you beat.

your flop call should indicate a draw of some sort, if this guy's at all observant. turn sequence indicates you got there, and I think he would've either bet or 4-balled turn with K-high flush. without nuts anymore, i'd also call river...

My first reaction is that you guys are giving this guy way too much credit. He limped UTG. Hero didn't raise the flop so he would't be putting him on a flush draw.

I usually raise river and consider a fold if 3 bet by a good player. He could definitively be value betting his rivered 'better' two pair or using that scare card as it will be hard for you to raise most of your hands and he was going to call anyway. I think he'll call most hands he played this way that have showdown value, I just never see people folding with a hand after they donked the river in such a big pot.

3-bet. KQ with the king of clubs is definitely in his range.

Ack, I meant raise (obviously), not 3-bet.

I normally like to raise here. But the problem here with raising the river, is that you can't be so sure about folding to a 3-bet. He might've semi-bluffed flop with Kc,Qx. Or he might have a smaller flush. So I'd just call and hope for those scenarios and not 88, 99, or 66.

Good player or not, I'm not sure I like folding a nut flush to a 3-bet. That almost makes it correct for him to re-raise us with his inferior hands as well as his nut hands.
