Default Mall Etiquette

My theory is that the same rules of the road apply to the mall. Since we drive on the right we should walk on the right. Should I really have to zig and zag through the mall because your barreling towards me in the wrong direction?

Who has the right away?

I think you should walk on the right and if you see a store on the left that you wish to visit you should approach with caution, enter said store, shop, and upon exiting make your way back to right side and continue with the flow of traffic.

I am I nuts because this irritates me?

Think of escalators as one way streets.

This reminds me of the Louie Anderson skit about being stuck being the old and the fat at the mall who are toddling in front of you, whom he notes "have the whole rest of their lives to be in front of you."

This stuff bugs the [censored] out of me. Avoid the mall at all costs, but whenever you're forced to go just accept the fact that between the mall-dwellers and the mall-workers you're about to be dealing with some of the dumbest [censored] on the planet.

Walking and cart use at Costco bugs me like this. A new strategy has emerged among the morons at my Costco where they pull their cart behind them rather than push it in front of them. This allows them to block a wider swath of aisle while they're making their big decision over children's socks. I want them all dead.

This was just a mistake and you don't actually think this is the proper term, right?

Whats the difference? jeez, you guys are neurotic. I purposely walk on the wrong side of the mall (and ya, they do the whole "lane thing" here), because Im ALWAYS in a huge hurry to get out of the mall (I hate them), and if I get stuck behind some plodding fat ass middle aged housewife taking up the whole side, going in the same direction as me, there is a very real chance that sooner or later I will take a samurai sword from one of the kiosks and go ballistic on them.
