Default What hands do you call a 3bet with?

Heres a straightforward question...

You are in position with XX, and you raise. Villain who is 22/19/5.0 and who you know is 3betting light 3bets you OOP. What hands do you just call with? If any? What about if you are OOP?

I hate this question every time it comes up because you can't just characterize a 22/19 that 3-bets light. What's his tendencies? How's he postflop? C'mon ama I expected better from you bud.

I don't usually call 3 bets, either 4 bet or fold. There are situations where I think calling is better but it depends on 3bet size. min 3 bets I call with any pocket pair as long as villian has a good sized stack. The only reason to call a 3bet is if you have a good drawing hand and know you can get payed off big if you hit.

It should be pretty obvious that this statement is false.

If villain is bad postflop I call with a decent amount of hands because I know he'll spew a stack at me no matter what.

If he's not bad postflop, I 4-bet/fold.

If he's tight postflop, I call more to take it away.

If he stacks off light, I call with more top-pair hands.

Just counter your villain's tendencies and you can't really go wrong.

You don't have odds to call with any drawing hands.
