3 bet. Given that you hold a K and 8, it makes either of those sets less likely. If he is a tight passive as you say, I don't see him raising with 66 or even 88.

It smells like an overplayed AA, or AK, with the villain trying to protect such a hand against the UTG. 3 betting protects your hand, charges the UTG for whatever he has, and makes AA pay, AK pay, as those hands do have outs against you.

If he caps again, we're in trouble, but should still pay off. Long term, I think 3 betting is the superior play. If it was heads-up, you might take a more passive line, but since we got the UTG in there who seems to be on an obvious flush draw, we need to extract the max.

really only one combo to fear because 88/66 aren't getting raised from that spot.

assume it were heads up at the turn. AA and AK are 14 combos together. to make yourself a 2/3 favorite vs. his turn raise you have to discount those 14 combos be 85%. in other words 0.15*14 = 2.1 combos, at which point you can 3-bet/calldown profitably if he only ever caps KK on the turn.

with the other player in there it's a 3-bet. i'd arbitrarily discount AA/AK by around 70%.

*grunch*

With as draw heavy as this is im inclined to bet out the flop and have villian raise it to protect our hand against the St8 draws and teh flushs, but this might be a FR concept and not a 6max.

TWIWP, after he raises our turn bet im slowing down for set possibilities as UTG is obviously not going anywhere.

Once villian raises us, then obviously we 3 bet here but I don't think we want to play this hand with more than one player.

I like the check raise on the flop, as for the cap I really dislike that. Seems pretty obv. to me you are up against either AA or AK in the bb, and the other guy probably has a flush draw

I just call the 3 bet on the flop and look to check raise the turn if a safe card comes ( anything thats not an ace or a spade)

But either way im jamming the hell out of that turn card

I dont understand the check on the flop with a possible flush out? this is -EV anyway, Easy turn cap.

BB's likely range: AK, AA, KK
UTG's likely range: 79, spade draw.

3 bet. If capped, shut down. Charge UTG the max. If BB flat calls, I see no reason to not bet a river brick.

Check is standard. This flop is rarely getting checked through.
