Default The Universe

Right now. History channel. Ive been meaning to watch this for awhile now. This one is about the life and death of stars.

This is a great show. I kind of wonder why it's on the History Channel instead of the Discovery Channel or the Science Channel, but it's really rad. I'll have to catch the late showing of this; I've been fascinated with how stars work for a long time.

There was a decent, easy to understand article in national geographic on the same topic a few months back. I would definitely recommend it.

i know how stars work.

"Modern Astrophysics" by Carroll and Ostlie chapters 7-17. Best text out there if you REALLY want to know how stars work, that is to say in a rigorous fashion.

Of course for a lot of that material highish level math and physics are required to make any sense of the material. But you aren't going to get a real understanding without that grounding. Any other form of "understanding" is superficial, hand-wavy, and, while good for one's general edification, is not of much use.
