A question about posting hands

How do people do determine what hands to post? Obviously, I would post hands that I'm confused about, but I suspect that often times I won't know that I'm playing a hand incorrectly, since the result of an instance of a particular hand is pretty much meaningless regardless of the result. Is this something I have to ferret out through some software like Poker Tracker?
