You have been connected to David H.
David H: Hello, how may I assist you today?
Customer: hi, i just had a question
Customer: if i open a US currency bank account
Customer: does that mean all transactions in and out are free? and i don't suffer currency exchange?
David H: Are you a Canadian or American citizen?
Customer: canadian
David H: You do not need to open a US currency bank account.
David H: INSTADEBIT is completely free

Customer: i'm just wondering if there are any problems with going to a US currency canadian account
David H: Please contact security@instadebit.com and someone will be contacting you back within 1 business day

I've had to deal with Instadebit support a couple of times and this exchange is par for the course. Their CS agents just spew info right from the instadebit.com FAQ, and if you have a question that goes beyond that they refer you to the security email addy.

I got referred to security once too. Thought it was weird.

And for the record, Instadebit is probably the best and fastest wallet out there. No hassle whatsoever and it's very fast.

I was thinking of opening an account with them. But no U.S. currency account pretty much makes it useless to me.

yeah, i never doubted they would have good service....but i'm kinda skeptical whether we actually aren't allowed US currency accounts, or whether they just tell us that so they can eat the 2% exchange vig.
