Default Good Turn or Bad Turn???

Villain is 20/15/3 through a fairly large sample. Plays well imo. No recent/relevant history lately.

I think the turn is good in that it narrows his range of hands that he'd play as he has. I think you got outflopped here and are up against AJ but in the heat of the moment I'd c/c turn and re-evaluate on the river.

I play identical stats to your villain and I'm asking myself what I'd play like this? I definitely wouldn't be calling A6s PF so that's out like a trout. I mix up my calling and 3-betting with AJs/o from the button but the point is, I can definitely imagine a flat call with AJs with position.

On the flop he raises 2.5x. I would definitely make the same raise with AJ to protect against hearts. I would definitely do this with AK and AQ but I probably am 3-betting those PF. The main question is would I make this flop raise with a hand worse than your AQ. The answer is possibly but unlikely.

Yeah, I can only see one of two hands here - AJ or a sneaky weak passive AK both of which kill your AQ.

P.S. he would of course play 6s in the hole identical to this, too IMO but quads... noooo onez eva has teh quaddage!

aggreed. As played, I'd like a read on his betsizing, but w/o one, it sure looks like he's trying to take exactly what you have to valuetown.
