Default Big pot #1 (2/4)

Ok, so I was thinking back on some big pots I played recently where I messed up. I heard some posters mention that they go through big pots after a session in their PT. So I thought I'd post a couple.

Villain here is a complete donk. Probably something like 40/10? I don't remember the stats, but he was very loose and pretty passive, though he could make some weird plays. I know that he has trouble laying down "monsters" ie. If he has bottom two pair, he's probably getting stacked a good amount of the time. Screenname is nashh, for those of you who've played with him.

So here are my thoughts. I really messed up the turn bet sizing. It's just that feel in these situations I always run into some retarded bluff or value CR with a weak hand, so I 3-bet smaller than I should've. Big mistake. Now that the river hit, am I betting a good amount, valueshoving, or what? Basically, am I hoping he has a lower flush and playing it as such, or am I going to protect my stack in case he just boated up? Also, please berate me for the turn bet size and tell me what's a better option.

Make a bigger raise on he turn so you can shove the river easily.

i make it like $350 on turn and then shove any river

i also raise the flop 100%

as played stacks/pot is so awkward. i would probably just bet $300 and cry if he shoves

Raise flop for sure, I think that is your biggest mistake here. Raise more on the turn, you could make it like $360-390. As played, I would value bet the river $475.

Agreed. That flop hit your range much harder then it hit his.

Agreed, the 4 shouldn't scare you because nobody is c/ring on the turn here with a set/2pr. He most likely has a lower flush than you. I'd bet like $440 on the river as played.

I'm debating between 450 or a shove, especially since he has trouble laying down "monsters". His line looks so much like a flush to me I think I'm shoving. Although, I do think it's pretty close.

his line looks nothing like a flush to me.... but it looks like he's fine with putting more money in the pot. 360 on the turn, shove the river, oh yeah, raise flop too.
