Default Sitting out of hands

If I choose to sit out from the table does this cost me money? I ask because I sat out a few hands on a table and came back and my money seemed lower down. Though it's possible I just remember wrong. Can someone clarify this, for future reference?

Cheers.

No, sitting out in a cash game will not cost you anything.

If you miss a blind and you want to start playing again before your big blind, you will have to make up one round worth of blinds that you missed.
