Default A high FD+gutshot in blind battle.

Villain is a 26/17/2 TAG after about 200 hands. No notes that I can remember.

Bet/call, unless you are planning on calling river UI with A8 in a 3bb pot hi. So, like I said, bet/call.

I would bet, get check/raised, and then 3 bet free showdown, but I have been known to spew.

If you bet/call turn, are you calling the river UI? Probably not, right?

Checkity check check and hope you hit the river.

You're behind every single ace-rag but A2. You're behind every single pocket pair. Basically you're only ahead of JT through KQ.

I guess I just prefer to keep pots small in hands like this and try to avoid [censored]-waving contests with ace-high.

Don't you guys think there are enough busted draws or even retarded air by the time we get to the river getting like 9 to 1?

I'm intrigued by the free showdown 3-bet sharpie, lol.

I would bet/call the turn, taking the free showdown if he doesn't raise, and checks the river to me, and we don't improve.

Calling the river would be dependent on the villain. I can imagine a few whom I'd call vs UI, but I think most of the time I'd fold.

I'm interested in the 3-bet free SD line though. I'm trying to think of the benefits though. We'd pretty much fold out any hands we beat, except smaller flush draws, and almost always get called down by a pair.

We could possibly fold out better aces who are raising for some reason...

Do you actually use this line often?

Does it work better for you because you 3-bet other types of hands in these situations?

Lots of questions, just trying to get the general idea here.

ty suhhhh

A 27/17 tags opening range here is huge.

It might be spew, but I'm planning on putting 2 more bets in since we'll be getting 9 to 1 on the river and I think we'll see air/draws often enough. So are there any benefits to putting that extra bet in on the turn and risk getting capped?

We have up to 18 outs on the turn, so even if it gets capped it doesn't cost us much (assuming he doesn't cap a worse hand and force us out on the river) I also expect alot of TAGs to auto check/raise the flop with A5 when they have an OESD, although I think just check/calling is a decent play. I think they would most likely check/raise with a worse 5x since it's worth gaining the folding equity.

There are a few draws appearing on the turn. In fact, against a TAG you had a good read on who always check/raise the flop with a pair or draw, he usually has a draw when he check/raises this turn. But, we don't have that read. If he has a draw it doesn't really matter what we do since he'll usually follow up on the river.

Does he ever fold a better hand? Hard to say, maybe he finds a fold with 22/A3, maybe he got retarded with AT because he didn't wanna just calldown.

I do think this is good for image, though, and if -EV, probably only slightly.

Sounds good. I can definitely see the immediate, and metagame benefits.
