Default Router Help

I've got a Linksys WCG200v2 on Cox cable. The P.O.S. router is constantly dropping my internet connection (it just now cost me a big pot when my AA got folded against some donkey). I'm ready to throw the dam thing out the window. Does anyone know of any settings i can change, any firmware updates, ANYTHING to make this crap stop disconnecting or dropping the connection?

I've replaced the cable going to the wall, the splitter coming from the wall (splits 1 cable to 2 for the modem & tv). I've turned off all my file sharing programs ([censored]), I've tried setting up Port Forwarding, etc.

I"m at my wits end. I'd rather not drop another $100+ on more hardware. My old router (some DLink) did the same crap.

HELP!!

Thanks.
