AA OOP deepstacked with history
Opponent is 47/10 and in the first orbit we already had two all-in hands against eachother. The first hand was my very first hand at the table and I butchered that up pretty bad:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Preflop: Peter is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls $2, 3 folds, SB completes, Peter raises to $10, UTG raises to $20, SB folds, Peter raises to $60, UTG calls $40. Flop: ($122) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Peter bets $75, UTG calls $75. Turn: ($272) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Peter calls $65 (All-In), UTG calls $65. River: ($402) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Opponent showed ATo. The very next orbit I'm in the BB with AA, UTG limpraises again and this time I decide to reraise all-in, figuring if he calls the 4bet with ATo, he'll call an all-in with a lot too especially if he figures I'm tilting. He did call with JJ and I took it down. So about an hour later, we are both deepstacked and the following hand takes place. Normally I would just bet the flop, turn and river, but this time I decided to play it differently. Maybe because we were deepstacked, maybe because I figured he would call down a cr with TP as well. Or should being deepstacked make it even better to just bet, bet, bet? Re: AA OOP deepstacked with history
Just to add,i usually bet turn obviously. But if someone is floating me all day with all kinds of marginal hands with the intention of firing me off pots, ill mix in a turn check raise here and there if im really really confident he will bet turn every time i shut it down.

Re: AA OOP deepstacked with history
I think you should be betting more like $200 given the history.

Re: AA OOP deepstacked with history
I like the line. If he pushes on the river I have to vomit though (and probably fold as basically noone bluffs a 3 buyin push).

Re: AA OOP deepstacked with history
He called with QTo and MHIG. I posted because a friend who is way better than me said he didn't like it and would just bet every street.

Re: AA OOP deepstacked with history
The history indicates to me that he would be betting the turn when you showed weakness fairly often to beat you out of a pot so I think a c/r is fine.
I think you have to make the c/r bigger. A pot sized raise is 160. I like 120-130. If he was drawing you gave him great odds by only making it 3x. As played, I think you have to bet the river for more. I think your bet might be better than a $200+ bet if was really bad postflop and would call down as lightly as JsXs, but if not, just go ahead and make it two bills. He is likely calling with any made hand he called the turn with considering river was a blank. |
