Default Flopped trips vs. a weird, passive drunk

Live 1/2 last night. The table overall is very passive - lots of limping, friendly environment.

Seat 1 is a very drunk, very bad player. I saw him open-limp KK and check-call it down in a multi-way pot, letting TPTK catch up on the river. I saw him limp QQ and check-call it down on an ace-high, coordinated board. The one hand I remember him betting and showing down was two pair on the river on a four-straighted board (which he lost to a straight). He open-bet a couple other flops with an overbet ($20 at a $10 limped pot) but didn't have to show down. Otherwise pretty much a calling station.

So, the table is set. He has about $145, I have the table covered with about $500-ish. Drunk guy min raises under the gun (don't know why - possibly an accident, possibly he thought it was straddled, who knows), a couple callers, and I have A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button and call. Flop comes A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], blinds check, he opens for $40 at a $24 pot (leaving him around $100 behind).

It folds to me (and the blinds look pretty disinterested). Given stack sizes and bet size I figure it's shove or fold time. Thoughts?

Maybe it's just me remembering my Caro but I'd be a little worried about the blinds because they're looking disinterested...I probably just call and get the drunk in on the turn.

Interesting thought... I'd played with these guys a while though and I didn't suspect that. They were both pretty straight-forward players (strong = strong, weak = weak typically).

But you do think put some money in though right?
