Default Blindbattle and a river decision

Sb is a tag and he caps in this spots very light. Do I fire again on the river hoping to fold overcards?

I dont raise the turn.

You are aiming to fold out a very narrow range of better hands, AQ and AK, and apart from maybe KQ any worse hand will check to you on the river.

That river doesnt change much. I cant see him folding a pair so again you are aiming to fold out AK and AQ. So I think I check behind but I like a river bet more than the turn raise.

You're getting a good price on your bluff and that board may look a little scary to him, but I don't think he'll fold enough after he called your turn raise.

you don't fold out many better hands with a turn raise, just AQ AK as oink mentioned, and they don't always fold

call to preserve implied odds and collect bets from bluffs

you should be less apt to semibluff ace high draws

"you should be less apt to semibluff ace high draws"

Could you please explain that?

there are significantly fewer better hands that you can fold out, as in this hand

also there is value in inducing bluffs because you have showdown value

I'm not saying never semibluff with an ace high hand, but there are a lot of spots where it can be better to play it passively, especially in position

So you call turn and then call river UI? I guess it's the same price as semi bluffing the turn (although, as you said, it could be less of a semi bluff and more of a value raise).

If Hero doesnt raise he cant be 3-bet. So no its not for the same price!

yea call most rivers esp vs someone who has a history of capping light

this specific river I am tempted to raise if I just call the turn. if I am planning on making a river call, this seems like a good spot to invest one extra bet to get folds from some better hands.
