NL100: JJ floppes fullhouse
Texas Hold'em $1-$1 NL (Real Money), #657,879,834
Table Jerewan, 31 Jul 2007 8:11 AM ET Seat 2: tonisti ($53.65 in chips) Seat 3: HERO ($100 in chips) Seat 5: Doors XX ($52.50 in chips) Seat 9: Tomppa81 ($101.40 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS tonisti posts blind ($1). HERO has [ JS,JH ] PRE-FLOP HERO bets $3.50, Doors XX folds, Tomppa81 calls $3.50, tonisti calls $2.50. FLOP [board cards 10C,10D,JD ] tonisti checks, HERO checks, Tomppa81 bets $6, tonisti folds, HERO calls $6. TURN [board cards 10C,10D,JD,9S ] HERO checks, Tomppa81 bets $20, HERO calls $20. RIVER [board cards 10C,10D,JD,9S,KS ] HERO checks, Tomppa81 checks. Please comment on my line. do you generally reraise the flop? I feared that he had no T, in which case he is very likely to fold, and thought that a passive line could express more money. is this nonsense? I sometimes reraise the turn, but this time I tryed to checkraise him on the river. no reads on villain, he just sat down at my table. |

Re: NL100: JJ floppes fullhouse
after you call the turn it's likely he's checking the river unless he has a straight or a ten, so i like a halfpot donk on the river. your lines coo with me, nice that he bet the turn. with no read it's just a guessing game as to what he has. maybe check raise the river in case he wants to call with [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]'s or something.

Re: NL100: JJ floppes fullhouse
Raising the turn stinks of a monster.
I raise the flop, slow down on the turn and let him have it on the river. |

Re: NL100: JJ floppes fullhouse
i defiantly bet flop here (about $7) lots of straight/flush draws out + villain could have a T.
turn, i like a c/r line, trying to get it all in. |

Re: NL100: JJ floppes fullhouse
bubaloo, I dont get why a straight or flushdraw is bad? I mean, I have a fullhouse, so if he makes a straight or flush thats great! And if he has a T thats also fine, because when he hits his kicker my fullhouse is better then his fullhouse. (JJJTT>TTTXX)

Re: NL100: JJ floppes fullhouse
I would have bet the flop or check raise or check/call the flop and lead the turn. I would definitely lead that river for some amount hoping he has a Q. Check/check is a disaster and check/raise is wayyy too strong a line.

(JJJTT>TTTXX) [/ QUOTE ] Yeah but you want to extract value from those hands, and he's putting money in the pot with them more than likely. His point isn't that there bad, it's that there's lots of hands out there that will call your bet. Remember with slowplaying, if you can bet and get money in the pot, do it. You want to extract the most amount of money from your opponent, not 'trap' him on the river and win a smaller pot if he has a ten or something here. I'd probably lead the flop especially three-way, then check the turn, but as played to the turn is fine too. But having check called twice, it's very unlikely he's betting anything other than a very, very strong hand on the river, so you have to bet to get any more money in the pot. Definitely definitely bet that river. |
