Still struggling with the first level, but I think this game is very cool never the less.

Finally finished the 1st level. Some tips:

* occupy spots that can shoot both rows first
* get several lvl 1 units on those spots in the beginning and not focus on few units
* Necromancers are imho the best advanced units - I only upgraded generalist on them and they worked really well

Whoops. Finally found a great build to get cash for necromancers pretty quickly. Was cruising through and then level 29 got me pretty good.

I also finished 2nd level with 17 lives and 3rd with 21 lives. No in the mood to play the 4th one to be honest. :P

I thought in the beginning that red mages are bad, but they're actually quite good. When they get the 80 gold upgrade they'll gain 1 extra range. If you've been upgrading generalist all the way, then they're pretty much as good as Necromancers.

I wouldn't rush with Necromancers too much. A lot of units in good spots and order will own all the way through. Something like blue mages in front, red mages after that to take down the hp, green ones in the end to finish them off with poison, when they get through. Purple mages work well with Dexers imho.

all the mages get an extra range if you go generalist including the necromancer

lol, the "easy" Yew Crossraoads map is like 10x as hard as "hard" Moongate.

beat both now. Marathon map is left now.
