200nl, 1 card str8, is this a stupid push?

no read on villain, he just sat down on the table for a few hands, seemed normal

fwiw, if the board were like 78TJx, I would have just bet 1/2-2/3 pot on the river there as villain would know that I am much more likely to have hit a str8 already and I really don't see I would get called by worse by pushing

here, villain might think i only have a 9 or something, so I thought 2 pair or idiot's str8 might call my push.

i would only do this with a read that UTG is clinically brain dead. you're way closer to getting him to lay down a J than you are to getting value.

Yes, I think this is a silly push. No worse hands are calling unless they are nut jobs and its not out of the realm of possibility that he called the flop with QJ trying to spike a gut shot.
