Default Cheap Suites in Vegas for December?

My birthday's comin up in December and there's about six of us goin down to Vegas. I've only been to Vegas about five times and never stayed in anything over a baseline room/friend's apartment while playing poker.

This time around we'll be lookin for a decent suite for six of us. There'll be a few girls who want to shop/club/lounge instead of gambling, so I want the place to feel alright and have Strip access. We'd rather spend our money on gambling/shopping/shows/dinner than on the room, yet I'm only playin $25/hand blackjack right now so comps aren't "in season".

I've been lookin around online, but does anyone know of any hidden gems on the Strip I should know about for something like this, or is there a room big enough for a decent price?

December? Every place is cheap. Seriously. Other than Dec 26th to Jan 1st, strip rooms can be had for as little as 30 bucks if you do some searching.

Strip rooms are cheap during winter. try this website 1-2 months before you book cause the promotion offers only start 1-2 months before.

On weekdays, yes, but weekends are always expensive in Vegas these days.

Six people in a suite is going to be crowded unless you get a 2 bedroom. Some of the older properties like Bally's are arranged with an ordinary room next to a small suite with an adjoining door.
