Does a donk bet look too strong to a good player compared to C/R? Went for a check raise on the turn here and missed and VB the river but I feel I could have stacked him if I played it right. Hows my line? |

Re: 22\'s hit set - to donk or CR?
I fire out on the flop hope to get raised and then reraise. you cant really expect him to bet the turn after you check raise on the flop. As played I lead the turn to get more in the pot so I can make a bigger bet on the river.

You're only missing value checking the turn. If he's calling a c/r on the flop I don't see how he can fold to a bet with that turn. As played bet that turn and put him all in on the river.

c/r good, once turn hits you're stacking most Q's that called the flop c/r.

Do not let him exercize pot control by checking behind on the turn. Bet the turn.

Re: 22\'s hit set - to donk or CR?
I think you should have bet that $110 on the turn, there is very little chance of him folding on the turn when you raised the flop.
On the river, he would have had over 1/2 of his stack in the middle, you push him in, he would be getting 3:1 to call. I think most Q holdings would call with 3:1 |
