Default American Players

To all american online players, do you claim big cashes on your taxes? How does that work? If I were to claim it couldn't the american gov't take it away from me because it is "illegal"?

???

Let me restate my question, I don't care whether any of you claim your taxes or not. What I am wondering is if I DO claim my taxes will the US government be able to take them away since only poker is said to be illegal?

No they can not seize it if you declare it on your income tax.
The IRS can not forward information on your taxes to any legal dept. You could claim your a drug dealer and as long as you delare youir income and pay your taxes no one will ever bother you.

No. The IRS is not a law enforcement agency, just a tax enforcement agency.

But, you should list your profession as "Professional Player" anyway. No reason to get more specific.

The legislation bill that was passed and signed by george bush... It states internet gambling is illegal. Unless something else had been passed, allowing it. Now I don't see how my wondering about claiming the taxes makes me sound like someone who pushes with A6... but in my opinion if you make assumptions like that about somebody it is a good way to lose your chip stack. In my opinion you sound like a raging 13 year old just waiting to sound cool for flaming someone. Get a life, I just asked a question.
