Thoughts on the Sit n go strategy in \"Online Ace\"
so in general the strategy that scott fishman gives is:
1.Early stages (when blinds are very low compared to chip stacks): He advocates playing very very tight... only playing premium hands and suited aces and small pocket pairs for a small price. he says "my goal in the beginning of Sit-N-Go tournaments is to look for spots where i can safely- or as close to safely as poker allows- double my stack. he also advocates that bluffing in the beginning is very pointless and to never do it. 2.The middle (defined by when your stack has reached 8 big blinds, if your stack does not get that low he says to play low risk high reward like in the beginning stages...): with 8 big blinds he says to wait for a good spot and push pre flop to try and steal the blinds and antes. if you have a large or average stack he says to lower your average raise to try and take down small pots agains short stacks. 3. The endgame (four players are left, three get the money) he says to become super aggressive, you have two decisions pre flop... all in or fold. Thoughts? |

Re: Thoughts on the Sit n go strategy in \"Online Ace\"
Fishman doesnt even mention ICM, for the rest he doesn't say anything stupid neither too clever.
Having said that, I think that chapter is pretty much embarassing compared to all the studying a lot of us made here. |

this is among the many other pieces of writing that have come out on sit and go strategy. Thus far, all have been labeled "TEH SUCK". Stick to the forum and links/posts provided.
