Default 100 NL: Hit a set in an unraised pot. Can I get more value?

Button is 31.6/16.7/228/2.86 AF

What should we put Button on and is there any way to get more chips from him in this unraised pot? Should I smooth call the turn bet or check raise here, or should I have led the turn? There is a flush and straight draw on the board.

Bet more on flop, psb is good. I would lead the turn too, for almost pot. I wanna build a pot here, and villains seem to not mind that.

As played, make it 25-30, trying to play for stacks obv.

uhh YA! limped pot means any hands go. i dont like the check on the turn though. in the long run you will make more money if you lead out. because the 34 got there. you need to get out the other straight draws and flush draws.

if you were looking for max value i would suggest leading out on the turn and you will probably get raised by the CO with his A(X)then you can make the decision, does he have just an ace or an ace with a flush draw. if you decide just an ace call (after thinking about it for a while make it look like you have qj or something) and check raise the river, or if you think he might have the Ace flush draw stack him.

but i say always lead out. unless it is heads up and you know what he has.

As played I agree with CaptUnlucky, which I'm actually fine with the turn check, the Ace probably hit someone and I'd say in this situation you will get the chance to check raise 80% of the time (other times them checking behind you.

The flop though I'd bet the pot, but not anymore you are trying to build a pot but not scare anyone off, the flush draw isn't great but for bottom set that's a pretty decent flop. As I said before, I'm okay with the turn check raise I think thats the best way to get the money in there (and charge the draws more).
