Is this standard? I was planning on bet folding the turn, is that fine? Villain was a complete unknown, no stats.

i push river, he'll stack off with a lower A alot. As played fine, calling is bad.

This is either a bluff or a queen or better. |

Re: TPTK facing river bet, $100 NL
pushing is very different to c/c
whats villains range here? a load of aces KQ/QJ/QT/Q9/wierd back door flush/77 i'd say. What calls a push? Most of that range. So you're ahead of his calling range. Now what bets when you check the river? mostly the trips/back door flush/77. Rarely worse aces. You are behind his betting range. Hence c/c is bad, pushing is best, and c/f is 2nd. |

Yeah looking back betting the river was probably better. What about the plan to bet/fold the turn, is that fine?

Re: TPTK facing river bet, $100 NL
US: you dont think he calls a worse ace a little more when we dont put him all the way in? i realise a push is roughly PSB but i think it just screams Qx....

Re: TPTK facing river bet, $100 NL
if he calls 50 70% of the time that he calls 35 it's the same bet
My opinion is that pushing is best because I think he'll call enough. You bring up a fair point. I'd like to hear other opinions. |
