Hand one I would probably make the flop $32 but that is merely a cosmetic detail. I think the turn call is fine/standard.
In the second hand I don't object to your line and river may even be a fold against this chap... what can ye do though. |

I dont like preflop in hand 2. You dont want to just call the small 3-bet with CO left to act behind you.

1 looks fine.
2 really comes down to your read of this guy. if you feel like he really only 3-bets with AA (which isn't unreasonable for some people) then you need to play this for set value (which you are more than priced in for pre). so, when you don't hit your set you gotta fold. that being said i really can't find a street i'd fold, with his small bets. maaaybe river but even then i don't blame you for calling. |

Re: 400NL 2 akward hands, what do you like/dislike?
Yes, I was actually calling for set value or maybe win a medium pot since I dont think he bluffs multiple streets. Still I have to call the flop since it is a continuation bet and Im not 100% sure he has me beat, but on the turn I really should consider folding and I think river is a clear fold. But for some reason I couldnt fold to his small bets even if I knew I was beat. This is not AK/AQ and JJ, QQ got there.
I think this hand was about trusting your read and I was pretty confident about it but couldnt take the proper action. If Im calling down like this I could rather 4bet/call preflop getting some value from QQ and it is probably not much -EV anyway but calling for set value is more profitable if I can fold I think. I find some relief in others also calling down here. He had the rockets off course. First hand I snap called and it was a cooler QJ but there is no way Im getting away there. |
