Super common KK spot.
Villain is unknown. I fold here like always unless I have a read that villain is a blufftard. Is this bad?

Hero folds, gets pissed off at being 3 (or even 2) outed.

This sucks, but I think I b/c, c/c, c/c. [/ QUOTE ] Just a little confused. In your line you're bet/calling the flop. What about if villain takes this line where he just calls your flop bet, that is, if he just calls the flop and raises turn. Personally I call down unless a spade card hits the river. I think this has got to be kind of read specific though right? Vs a tight opponent or passive fish I think you can muck the turn but against a TAG/LAG or another aggressive opponent I think that you should look him up. Against an unknown I'm calling. |

Re: Super common KK spot.
Against unknowns I showdown big pairs constantly, unless I have some stats on them and the sample is enough that I can have a general sense of them. People take shots all the time without a hand in these games.
Especially when running bad sometimes I used to get pissed for showing down, but lately I think its best in a HU spot like this to SD, realize in the long run you're gonna make money in these spots, and let it go. That said, I'm wondering if in PT there is a way to filter KK hands w/ Aces on the flop. If there is I don't know it, but I'd be happy to check out my rate of success/failure. |

Re: Super common KK spot.
I call the turn raise alot and fold the river, they usually assume u have an A when u call and dont follow up with KQss or whatever. Sometimes I ck call the turn but Id rather bet bet bet vs a worse PP most of the time.
this is kinda one of those spots where we wish we knew more about villains play and whether hes showdown bound with QQ-TT (this board is better than ATx), some people u can ck call the turn and ck fold the river fwiw. vs an unknown i really ahve no idea whats best its definitely not a fun spot I probably call the raise and hope he made some stupid freeshowdown raise or semi bluff hoping to fold out underpairs to the A and cks behind the river. |
