Default I\'m so dirty

No real reads, new table. I think his stats were like 30/1 or something, but a small sample. Is preflop standard? I'm not sure about turn raise. BUt I figured that he could just have two pair or pair + heart and was protecting/valuebetting before another heart came. River I figure the same, that he'll call with two pair. But probably he dumbs a lone ace on river right? This just felt gross, but I couldn't put him on a flush playing so weirdly.

I raise preflop sometimes, it depends on my image at the table. I'm not clear on why the river bet was so small. With less than pot I would just push.

That small bet can be interpreted as a weak bet and a call is necessary now.

edit: I'm raising that weak bet on the turn everytime.

I raise preflop %100 of the time here. Id probably just shove river myself otherwise the hand looks fine, I think he'll show up with random 2 pair/Axhx to make the river bet profitable.

Why are we betting the river? He's pretty positive on the turn you're not bluffing at this dry side-pot and he calls $88 into a $165 pot anyway. As a 30/1 on the SB he can have just about anything preflop, maybe we can put him on AxKh, but he's going to fold this on the river even to your small value bet, right? You're representing huge strength through the turn. His play through the turn cries out baby flush to me. If that's true, he probably figures that you hump the pot on the river with a strong flush, so he figures out his baby flush is good and goes for the rest of your stack.

Edit: Eh, I guess he plays 2 pair the same way through the turn, with 15 ways to flop 2 pair and 21 flushes T high or worse I guess the value bet's fine, but I'm pretty sure you're beat when he check/pushes the river.

Raise preflop. Flop is good. Raise a tad more on the turn (easier to shove river). Shove river. gg.

Raise preflop and shove river. Otherwise it looks good.

raise preflop
IMO, there is more ev in raising/c-bet line to grab blinds and limps while abusing position than to set mine, especially considering metagame of raising 25%+ from the button. This is a constant fullring argument.

flop--good

turn--good

river bet is good if you want to induce a allin check/raise

that river bet/call is so gross

you win $75 when you're good and lose $260 when you're not

risk:reward is totally out of whack there when you're in a protected pot with a hand that's far from the nuts
