DO NOT PURCHASE HELLMUTH'S BLACK BELT COURSE

I recently purchased Hellmuth's complete white to black belt poker course from Iamplify.com and I can say with confidence that I could never spend a worse $150 in relation to my poker career. This series is a complete scam and no one should purchase it. But I am not sure if I am more pissed that the series is so poor or that Iamplify refuses to return my calls for a refund.

First off, every advertisement for this series would lead you to think it was related to no-limit hold 'em when in fact 95% of the videos offered tips on limit. Sure Phil, you have won 11 bracelets in no-limit hold 'em yet I bought your video series so I could learn how to improve my 10/20 limit game. And evevn if I did want to learn about limit the tutorials are so bad that I would still ask for my money back. Furthermore, the series is advertised as being 4 hours long but each new video clip begins with the same horrendous 40 second opening of Phil and pics of Vegas so the series is actually about 3 1/2 hours. Phil Hellmuth and Iamplify are running a complete and total scam and until I get my $150 back I will do as much as possible to hurt sales of this pathetic video series.

Hellmuth has three of his bracelets in Limit Hold-em.

Not that that would make his videos any better. I rented one of his "Million Dollar Poker System" DVDs once for $1, and it wasn't even worth that.

Try reading "Play Poker Like the Pros" from Phil "The Ripoff" Helmuth. Bet you can't read past page 3 before running it through the shredder.

i dunno why hellmuth beeing bash so much....
actually i red play poker like the pros i find the part where u spoke about playing vs diffent(animal type)player really good and even if is limit strats are kind of just ok,i heard is other form of poker info like stud and omaha in his book was pretty decent...

Oddly his Play Poker like the Pros limit strategy kinda works in a tournament setting, its not that far off from a realistic weak-tight yet winning strategy (stake sizes not referenced of course, but at least now that I have advanced to my current level of limit knowlege I can see what he was thinking even though it wasn't communicated well). In a cash game his advice just plain old sucks.

In the CardPlayer interview, Hellmuth has said that every belt less than blackbelt has the same content as his books and earlier videos but then he brags that the stuff that he teaches in the black belt portion was never released to the public before. Just curious. What are the contents of his black belt teachings?
