blech, tough spot, especially without any reads. I don't think there's any reason to think you are behind yet, though. MP probably would have capped PF with QQ-AA, and BB would often slowplay a 5 here on this drawless board.

I'd probably cap the flop and lead the turn and play it from there. If it goes raise, 3-bet again I'd probably fold.

If they're aggressive players, I would cap and bet/fold the turn.

If they're weak/passive, I fold.

It isn't the cap that tells you, it's what happens after you bet out on the turn, having capped the flop. I like arh1's and n.s.'s answer as the best way to approach this game with unknowns and no reads.

Well, if you cap the flop most reasonable players are going to put you on a big hand, likely AA or KK. You should get a pretty honest response to your turn bet - the only thing you have to worry about is if one of these guys could have QQ or KK, because they might slow down more than they should. It doesn't really matter, though, because you are probably going to have to show down against either or these hands unless some overcards come, so if you get called down and lose to QQ it woulda cost the same anyways.

This is all assuming that you truly have no reads at all (since you didn't specify any).

Hmm I don't think there's a difference if you call 3 and lead turn and get raised than cap and lead, sure you are spending an extra bet to give other players a little more info on your hand, but turn raise is all the info we need imo and we are just wasting one sb.
