(NL5) JJ against maniac
Villain in question is a maniac, 87/36/2.2 over about 100 hands.
In the same session I played a hand earlier with him: No-Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) saw flop|saw showdown CO ($1.88) Button ($0) SB ($2.34) BB ($7.52) UTG ($3) UTG+1 ($1.69) UTG+2 ($4.33) Hero ($4.94) MP2 ($10.55) MP3 ($4.94) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero calls $0.04, 3 folds, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: ($0.14) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.2, SB folds, BB calls $0.20. Turn: ($0.54) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero bets $0.5, BB calls $0.50. River: ($1.54) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: $1.54 Results in white below: BB has Ks Kh (one pair, kings). Hero has 9d 9h (one pair, nines). Outcome: BB wins $1.54. In the hand above I thought I was ahead as I figured he'd raised anything that beats me except perhaps the flush, and I also thought that he wouldn't call with anything that I beat so I just checked behind on the river. Then a few hands later we play the hand in question: No-Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) saw flop|saw showdown MP1 ($1.88) MP2 ($4.96) MP3 ($2.26) CO ($6.85) Button ($2.94) SB ($1.33) Hero ($5) UTG ($12.30) UTG+1 ($5) Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.04, 3 folds, MP3 calls $0.04, CO raises to $0.22, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.18, UTG calls $0.18, MP3 calls $0.18. Flop: ($0.90) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets $0.4, UTG folds, MP3 folds, CO raises to $0.8, Hero calls $0.40. Turn: ($2.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, CO checks. River: ($2.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, CO bets $5.52, Hero ? I know it would have made a lot of sense to reraise pf. Although I figured his pf raise would help to get the pot HU and that I would have easier decisions post flop once I know if there are a lot of over cards. Looking back though, I think I still should have raised. The flop seemed fine, only one over card. His raise did bother me but I'm not folding to a minraise. The turn and river can't have helped him much, unless he happened to have A5 /56 for the straight or a back door flush - but even then his shove is weird. Do you call the river, and how would you play the hand? |
