Default Bad Beat Jackpots

I just noticed a new feature on Absolute with a bad beat jackpot that's around $350k now. Have any of you guys hit this before?

I know Party has one for about $100k, but haven't seen this elsewhere. Does anyone else offer this? How big do these get?

I think the party one has been over a million a while back I'm positive it's been between 500k and a million a couple of times. It only pays 35% to the winner though.

Absolute keeps 10%, of the other 90% the loser gets 50%, the winner gets 25% and the rest of the table splits the other 25%. Think of it as nothing more then a sneaky way to take extra rake.

[/ QUOTE ] Exactly. I've only played their once since they introduced this, but damn near all the limit HE tables were now bad beat jackpot. Not sure if it's better to play the non-bad beat tables, where presumably other ppl who know how bad of a deal it is are, or just suck it up and try to overcome the extra rake with ppl wanting a chance at the jackpot.

Actually AP takes 10%, 20% is taken to reseed the BBJ, and the remainder is split 50/25/25 (loser/winner/table share)

You can think of it as a sneaky way to take extra rake, but it has also definitly softened up the tables there. No more 13/8 games at the 1/2 LHE.
