Default what notes to make?

Hi all. I want to ask u, what notes do u make for your opponent? I usually make notes about opp's strategy on particular home cards(smth like 'miniraise with AA in UTG'), about his strategy on hand(smth like 'never makes a continious bet without a pair') or about smth enormous in his push or call range(smth like 'call push with K6o').
But it's not very efficiently usual. What notes do u make usually?

I do two of those 3; I don't do the strategy with his strategy on a specific hand (e.g pair) because I don't think there's a big enough sample size in a tourney. But I do classify their play based on monsters/trash. I think that there are other factors with pairs that might influence them to check/fold in one case but raise in another. I don't find notes that useful at my level though...Just kind of getting into a habit of doing it.

It depends on the stakes you play. I have pahud, so if I do occasionally run into a regular I know what they open with in all stages of sngs. I play tight early and am usually shoving late so whether they cbet the flop or check raise a monster usually doesn't matter. I rarely run into regulars in 6.50s to take notes, not only that I don't have alot of time while I'm 5-tabling.

I'm sure once I move up to the 16s there's a chance I might have to take notes. Aba had a good post on how he takes notes in a shorthanded kind of way, you might want to do a search on that.

First, it depends on how many tables youre playing.

Second, learn to make mental notes first. In the beginning of SnGs i make sure i see every hand that gets showndown, even if i have to check histories. Im not looking for exact plays, im looking for TYPE OF PLAYER.

Third, notes dont need to be exact hand situation, like minraise AA UTG, though they can be used as an example. The problem is, one hand does not tell you enough.

Example: Player limps AA UTG at (15/30), makes a full pot bet on flop, pushes turn into 1 caller.
After checking histories for other pots, i see hes limped a lot and calls down smallish bets with any piece of the flop.

My note: Careful of traps. Likes to get involved often and calls with any piece, but doesnt bet or raise without a strong hand. Capable of limping big hands early PF.

This type of note gives me a feel for the general player type, so i dont try bluffing him later since i know i can make value bets, etc.

I have some notes like "OMG I have an A!!!!" and "soooooted" to indicate the kinds of players that will play any A or any 2 suited for a sizeable raise. Plus stuff like "limp-foldy" or "loose limp-caller" or "shortstack limper" and any clues about positional awareness (or not). And of course, what they call AI raises with. These mainly help when deciding whether or not to push.

I note what they had if they make a different from normal preflop raise size (for them), and what they reraise with if it's not a standard reraising hand. Plus any other unusual betting patterns (especially if a weak lead was a strong hand or any trappy stuff, or if they like to minbet when they have nothing) and whether they usually c-bet.

Notes on general aggressiveness, stationishness and bluffiness - tendency to raise/push if they sense weakness, ability to fold weak hands post-flop/tendency to call down with anything, ability to fold to a reraise (ego maniac or hopeless optimist), whether they pay too much to draw and so on.

Basically anything that might help me determine their pushing/calling ranges and anything that might be exploitable (or prevent me being exploited).

I have some short codes to make it quicker, but mostly I just make sure it's gonna be intelligible to me later.

I sharkscope every table i play. I play the 16$'s and sometimes the 27$'s. I usually have like 4-5 players noted if i join a table. My notes are mostly like: 'fish, good regular, avg regular, bad regular'
And sometimes something extra like 'Pushes very wide or calling very tight'.
I base my reads on above and i do fairly well playing 8 tables at the limits i wrote above.

what about sharkscope, i don't know - i don't have a payment account there, so i could search 5 players a day, so i usually make 5 notes for new players every day, but i'm not sure this is useful. Maybe payment accs have advanced statistics, but for me i c that opp ZZZZ has 600 games played and has ROI -8%. I know he's bad. I know i beat him, but i didn't know anthn about him - may be he has wrong push range or smth like this..but i can't understand this from sharkscope
