Borgata Poker Room Rate

I play mainly 1/2 NL at the Borgata, lately once a week. I have heard people can get a poker room rate at the Borgata, but was wondering what is the process for doing so. I understand it might not be possible for the summer, but would be great for the fall for me. I would generally plan on staying Thursday night to have a cheaper room. Thanks for any information in advance.

Unless they have gone back to the old system recently, you don't play high enough stakes to get the room rate. I haven't checked in a while though.

You might have a chance during the week, for a weekend you have no hope.

I don't know what the minimum requirements are, but playing 40 hours a week every week in May got me eligible all month in June. Doing the same in June got me eligible all of July.

I can get it Sun-Thur, at $119 post-tax, and I don't ever play higher than 20-40.($2/hour for 10 and 20)

119$ with a poker rate! wow ill stay at a harrahs affiliate instead and just play at showboat

yes

usualyl its 20/40 limit or Better 5/10 or better NL and they might have up this like I know the taj has some insane standard now ( i think its 40/80 or better)

Also good luck on the weekend , you also should play a lot first before you ask so they have an idea how much time you spend at the table (min is usually 4 hours a day for the days you are staying)

I stayed at the Taj this year, sometime before the summer, using the poker rate. I believe it was a sunday night and it was $70+tax, and it can supposedly be covered by your poker comp dollars if you have enough. I've never really played bigger than 1-2 there, but I have logged quite alot of hours there over the past 3 years.
Obviously things may have changed either permanently or for the summer.

This is true, but only Sunday-Thursday. You can get the poker rate if you play 40 on Friday or Saturday. It's 40 stud btw, not hold 'em. Nice game though.
