Re: paired boards and bluffing....
Nice call on the turn.
This is really a poker question. You are not playing your cards and you're not playing the board. You are playing villain. You have to figure what he thinks you are holding on each street and why he is playing the way he is. On the flop, he is probably representing something like JT or perhaps a flush draw. On the turn, he is now only reprsenting JT or perhaps Ax spades. As it turns out, since this hand was show down it contains a wealth of information to be used in future hands. Then, when you are the same situation later, you can draw on this info and any other info you have. As for your question about AA or QQ, I would reraise SB's $16 raise to about $40 on the flop or even move all-in, especially if you know what you now know about SB. |

Re: paired boards and bluffing....
Against a guy like that, I'd probably try to get it in. Against a tight player... could be a fold, but turn bet is kinda small.

To get him to stop bluffing into you. 2. It doesn't necessarily mean a bluff. It could be a flush draw, x2, or also JJ. If it's the first two, you don't want to give him turn card and if it's JJ, then you just might stack him. |
