Default The Official WTS 50 MICROSTAKES NL BLUFFS Thread

I've caught it from a bunch of posters on these forums who say that bluffing at $10NL and lower in useless, unnecessary, or doesn't work. Here are some comments from some of those people:

wildzer0: Honestly, bluffs just shouldn't be a big part of your arsenal at 5nl.

Quester: Seriously man, stick to the basics.....At these limits, setting up future plays (*bluffs)is unnecessary.

monkover: bluffs at 5nl are prob never a good idea.

robinmbuk: I destroyed 10NL, and I really ever bluffed (even semi bluffed), so I don't think theres any need to bluff @ 5NL.

Frosteater: setting up people and bluffing them can not work.

whyherro: FPS (fancy play syndrome)

Recently, monkover replied to me (sarcastically), could I teach him how to play [pokers]. Out of that exchange, I told him I would start a thread called The Official WTS 50 MICROSTAKES NL BLUFFS Thread, to show a plethora of hands in which I bluffed in and won so it wouldn't come off as one hand here or there that doesn't make sense (in the way I played it).

Now, I actually had probably closer to 20 bluffs after I initially spout this idea to monkover but my computer crashed over the weekend after I had saved some great bluffs to post. Then when I got it back up, a virus hit it on Monday after I saved some other bluffs from that night's session and I've been out of commission up until now. I'll do periodic follow ups to post more. Unlike some of you, I don't get as much time to play poker because of my job so bear with me. Hopefully, my thread sheds some light on the fact that bluffing can work at $10NL and lower and work well.

C-bets are bluffs when you have basically air, no matter if you have two big overs or 7 2o. Jonyy, let's not get nit picky. Don't fret, I'll have more to whet your ap.

6 and 7 aren't standard, IMO. 8 is still a bluff.

Damn I wanted to write a witty reply, but as usual Jony beat me to it.

So I'll respond fairly seriously,

1.We're not talking about cbets when we say don't bluff.

2. You can win at much higher stakes than 10nl never bluffing. IMO learning to bluff effectively is something to work on after your game is already extremely solid.

I didn't notice any humor or "wittiness" in his reply.
