Flop OESD + overs vs shortie
Best action here, given villain has $11.25 behind on turn? What if he has a full stack?
Would usually bin this pre-flop from MP1, but I try to raise a bit more loosely early in sessions because people give unknowns more credit the first few times, and I want action later with my premium hands. Take the free card;
You're way behind basically everything at the moment, and given villain's remaining stacksize relative to the pot: 1. you basically have no fold equity 2. It won't be too difficult to get the rest of his money if you do hit |

Re: Flop OESD + overs vs shortie
with the effective stack size do not c-bet. if villain has anything, or often a good Ace, he will check/push over your c-bet and you will be forced to lay it down. also, checking usually does not lose value for you when you hit because he is so shallow that stacking off will not be difficult.

Re: Flop OESD + overs vs shortie
I put him all-in and he folded. But I wasn't sure if this was the right play which was why I posted.
I'm wondering if he had a hand like AQ here and is floating with overs and a gutshot. If we have a full stack, is betting flop / turn better, or is it still better to check behind? |

Re: Flop OESD + overs vs shortie
Wow. I am way off from the other posters. Villain is not showing signs of wanting to donk off the rest of his stack. He was last to act and just called a raise that represents 12% of his remaining stack. Then he checks the flop. Then he just calls the flop bet. I definitely push this turn. If he calls you are getting 4-1 and you could have as many as 12 outs.
I probably push him in on the flop, though. I think you have good fold equity and you have outs if he calls. Plus, this helps that loose table image you were trying to establish. |
