Default New Concept: Fantasy Sports Live

I did a search and didn't see this anywhere. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't come up.

This site just launched about a week ago and I played for the first time tonight and thought it was pretty sweet.

Basically it's fantasy sit-n-gos. They're done on a daily basis so if you have the time/desire to play a particular day you can. If you don't, you don't have to. They've got baseball up and running and plan to have football and the other major sports as they come along.

Between my $30 sign-up bonus and winning a heads-up match tonight I'm up almost $50 so far. Pay-outs are in the 85-100% range and I think it's beatable if you really know baseball.

Could you give us a little more of your thoughts on the site?

I really like this site. I used it for this first time this weekend and it has been quite fun.

You basically pick a team of 9 players (with a salary cap) and join either a 2 person game, 6 person game, 10 person game etc. It's similar to joining a poker SNG. There are all different stakes games (as low as 3 bucks).

As said earlier in this thread the rake isn't THAT bad and is probably beatable if you really know baseball and look into matchups and stuff (i.e. Curtis Granderson is unreal batting left-handed but is worse than me vs. lefties).

Easy deposits and they'll send you a check to cash out (even though I haven't done it). Oh, and the bonus is great. Deposit 100 and get 20 bucks free (or 200 for 30 bonus).

Hopefully traffic will grow and the games will pick up by football season.

What he said ^

The salary cap you work under is basically the same for all the contests except some have no cap. I'd like to see some lower salary cap games to really make you pick out the sleepers.

Wow. Dear Tim Lincecum, I owe you one.

I'm up $216 now in 2 days and I've only risked $13 of my own money. I'm not exaggerating when I say that's all almost entirely thanks to Mr. Lincecum. I'd be singing a different tune if he'd gotten shelled.

Jon Garland saved my ass today. Soriano/Cabrera hurt me. I'm down 5 with Ivan Rodriguez and Magglio Ordonez to go. That's just to get 3rd.

The salary cap is basically a joke because too many steals are available. They need to either get the salaries right or start offering 200-250k salary cap games.

I think they are doing 450K with these particular salaries, because you can pick virtually whoever you want, so when people select their team they say, wow, my team is awesome, I must be really good at finding bargains. They deposit more, they play more, =profits.
Seems like a fun game.

Question.
I used my debit card to deposit, I just signed up for this card 2 weeks ago. I made a deposit into my bank account, then again last week and that is all I've used it so far for. The first time I tried to deposit 100 onto this site, it said my address didn't match the one on my card. They were right and I did it again, and successfully deposited my 100. I then logged into my bank account online, and it said available balance of $269, with a total balance of $469. Did it take 100 twice, even though I only have 100 in the FSL? I have not used my card for anything else at all.

I emailed them about some of the concerns ppl have brought up here and elsewhere. There are some 360k cap contests that were just recently posted. I think as long as the salaries are the way they are it's just going to make teams more similar rather than more different, but we'll see...

I like FSL, I've had fun with it. But, Christ, when will they finally get JJ Hardy onto pickable players?
