Default 50NL...Flopped top 2 pairs, did i do the right thing on the flop?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1223347

Someone please analyze how I played this hand. What was the better way to play this hand if there was one.

Also was my raise on the flop and shove on the turn a bad move?

Thanks.

You played this hand awful. Preflop is gross, raise that [censored] up. The flop c/r is way to [censored] small, raise to around $22. I do think the overbet push on the turn is good though but it wouldn't have been an overbet if you raised the flop properly.

Button was really aggresive all game long. Don't you think the button would have shoved it since he floped the s8t (AQ) if i raised to $22 instead of $14.

Only reasaon I pushed the turn was becuase he smooth called my reraise on flop with a flush draw board. I thought either he had a flush draw or AK at best.

[/ QUOTE ] yes, I do. After you call this preflop you're not looking to get away from 2 pair, you're looking to get the money in.

[/ QUOTE ] You are pushing for protection AND value, not just protection.

Def rais PF makes the flop alot easier to play. on the flop mayb a rr to 18-22 and then shove turn. chronicatm is 34/17/2.28 over 600 hands so im not that afraid of straight but as played i dont understand the turn overbet. your only getting called by the straight. as played id b/f flop. If he shoves your beat.

if he made a good normal sized turn bet it just looks stupid. The effective stacks on the river would be just $10 so just push it. He isn't just pushing for value as mentioned earlier, folding flush draws isn't the worst thing here.

OnthinIce911 stated: "chronicatm is 34/17/2.28 over 600 hands".

what does the "34/17/2.28" mean? and where do i get this information on my opponents. Thanks.

Ps: tarheeljks, i was a little worried about that he might have had AQ on the flop for s8t. why?
