About Aggression Factor
Hi my AF on the flop is 3.53 but in the other streets it's Turn: 1.89 and river: 1.75
This means that I'm missing some value bets? It's better to be Aggressive or too much agggressive is bad too? Can some one explain this to me? |

Re: About Aggression Factor
Hi. For Limit Hold'em, any aggression factor of 1.75 or greater is good. While an AF of 3.53 might mean that you are very aggressive, it could also mean that you just fold too much. Using the AF number alone, one cannot determine your playing style. You need to post more numbers, such as how often you fold the flop/turn/river, call it, and so on.

Re: About Aggression Factor
It's standard for your Flop AF > Turn AF > River AF.
On the flop you're doing things like c-betting with air a lot and pumping draws. You do those things less on later streets. People also check/call to induce river bluffs. You really don't do that on the flop either. It general, it's better to be aggressive than passive, but there is such a thing as being too aggressive. If you say, are finding yourself jamming bottom pair on multiway flops quite often, that's probably too aggressive. |

Re: About Aggression Factor
Folding is agressive too. If the number is too high you are likely doing too much 'fit or folding'.
Anyway, against overagressive people, passive lines are super sweet yo! |

[/ QUOTE ] You may be doing something wrong, or you may just be doing things differently than the standard way of playing hands. It's hard to say without seeing hands. If you've been winning for 47k hands, I definitely wouldn't overhaul your game to make your stats 'acceptable' though. Some possible things I could guess at that might lead to your stats being that way JJack may include slowplaying to the turn too often in situations where it's better to jam the flop, not value betting/raising draws on the flop very often when you have an equity edge, deciding to wait to the turn to raise when you may be able to protect your medium strength hand on the flop, and peeling a lot of flops and then folding turns when you miss or raising if you hit. Just thoughts though. |
