Default on a family pot, what strong hand u normally raise from the BB?

I'm a regular $4-$8 player, I see all these experienced player with different styles playing BB on a family pot. Some dont even raise with pocket Aces cuz there reasoning is somebody will hit something better than pocket Aces on the flop which is stupid cuz somebody can three bet u and further isolate the field.

What are the strong hands do yall normally raise on a family pot?

You can raise a lot of hands from the BB and they certainly don't have to be strong. Hands like JTs, QJs, KQs, ATs+ are for example perfect raising hands in family pots. But don't be loose with raising unsuited hands. Only AKo and AQo is a good guidline for unsuited unpaired hands.

I raise hands that do well in multiway pot. Like big suited connectors, and big suited aces. I'm tight with unsuited holdings, only raising AKo, or AQo.

Not raising with aces would be very dumb IMO. You have a huge edge over the field, and AA does well in multiway pots.

if it's truly a family pot(9-10 handed), i would raise:

22-AA, 67s-AKs, mabye 8Ts, def. J9s-AQs, unsuited usually just AQo+. i like to raise hands that play well multiway and thrive from the implied odds present with all of the players.

You are raising 88-0? I am not. It cuts down your implied odds? Otherwise I am close to James' raising standards.

I'm also not raising them as an default: but with enought limpers it's ok. You are 7:1 to flop a set while you are just putting in 10% of the money preflop (with a true family pot).
