NL50: low 2 pair on flop with action
BB is 34/5/5 during 200 hands, no notes on him
UncleGogi ($49.50 in chips) BB ($47.95 in chips) UTG ($50 in chips) CO ($58.35 in chips) BTN ($23.70 in chips) UncleGogi posts blind ($0.25), BB posts blind ($0.50). PRE-FLOP UncleGogi is dealt: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, CO folds, BTN calls $0.50, UncleGogi calls $0.25, BB checks. FLOP : 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UncleGogi bets $1.50, BB bets $5, BTN folds, UncleGogi bets $12, BB calls $8.50. TURN : 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UncleGogi checks, BB bets $24, UncleGogi folds. Is check on turn good? or should i bet 1/2 pot? |

Re: NL50: low 2 pair on flop with action
Honestly, if I know nothing of the villian, I'm folding here. What hands (from a reasonable person) repop us here, keeping in mind he checked from the BB. He's probably lucked into A-3, 6-3, top two or a 4 with a FD.
Yeah I hate folding here, but after his flop three bet, I'm not going broke in an unraised pot. If I see him playing wild later, I probably kick myself for this one, but for now I'm ok with it. Cody |

In an unraised pot, i'm calling the flop raise and hoping to get to showdown as cheaply as possible (unless I fill up). As played, I think the turn c/f is fine.

Re: NL50: low 2 pair on flop with action
No, it's not bad. The general 'don't go broke in unraised pots' rule sucks because general rules suck in poker. In reality, you're good most of the time here. Turn c/f is ok too, that's a terrible card.
