Any reads??? Your hand is pretty good heads up, so if he hasn't been nursing his stack, call.

[/ QUOTE ] Only read is that he has been short for a little bit and only open pushing from lp...so his range should be pretty huge. What is about the worst hand you would call here with? I feel fairly confident in which spots to push once I'm short but not so much about which hands to call with. Ax+, K8+, Q9+, any pr? Something like that or even wider? |

I usually like to be the one forcing the push, not calling it. However, based on his read, I think there's a better than decent chance you are ahead here.

Re: PS $11R...SS preflop in BB w/ K8s, facing SB push
Change that King to an Ace and I call in a cold second. Without that, it becomes less clear but is probably still a call given your reads. The only argument against it is that you have a couple stacks to your left that are vulnerable to pushes from you as well. If you think you can get away with picking up their blinds once you're the one in position, it's less risky to just do that rather than dump your chips in the middle on a probable 60/40 situation. Still, you're getting short and you're guaranteed to be heads up, so I don't hate a call by any means.
