turn push is horrible... you need FE to make that move and you have close to 0 in this hand.

I vote no for obvious reasons. Why didn't you shove flop when your equity is much greater and your perceived fold equity greater?

cause then it is an obvious draw push.

The flop is such an excellent spot to shove.
You have a straight-flush draw and two overcards. You are a favourite against anything but a set/two pair, and even against that you are very close in equity. I just type "TAKE THIS YOU DONKEY" in the chat box and shove. |

cause then it is an obvious draw push. [/ QUOTE ] Oh really? You mean you don't play TT or at least AA the same? You should at least. Shoving here from you is representing something big, and I don't see how villain could interpret it as a draw only. And who cares? You are most likely a small favorite anyway. If villain calls with AT here, you really don't mind it at all. (actually I think you're a big enough favorite with 18 outs that you would actually like him to call. Turn sucks and I actually think it's a fold cuz our implied odds are very very marginal, especially for the flush. |

Fiksdal, this is something I am strugling with lately, why do we push when all weak hands we are a favorite to fold, and only the strong set/2pair hands that we are an underdog to call? It doesn't make sense?
By pushing the turn IO dont matter any more, we have it all already if he calls. or is this backward reasoning? |

Shove or fold the flop, whichever one you choose is up to you, but your equity is actually pretty good. Flop call is gross and turn is even worse.

[/ QUOTE ] Because we're really just breaking even against most of the hands that we can force out with a shove. So rather than splitting (on average) what has already become a sizable pot, we scoop it. This is balanced somewhat by the fact that we generally lose money when called, but overall shoving enhances our equity in the hand. |
