Sorry, couldn't get to convert the hand on standard converters. Party must have messed up the hand histories again. Tourney is Party's $13K Gtd Rebuy. Average was about 25k. I'm not sure what's best on the river. Villain is a bit donkish. Should hero make a blocking bet, c/c or c/f? |

Re: Tough River Spot with TPTK
I probably check-call. Bet-fold is probably a good idea but I'm not sure I could bring myself to carry out the 'fold' part on party.

Re: Tough River Spot with TPTK
Betting any decent amount leaves you pot-committed anyway imho.
Would we call a push from Button after having checked? Would we be able to fold, after having checked - and by checking acutally induced a bluff? I think, the "right line" here is extremely dependent from our reads on him AND our expectation on him, how he sees us. Perfectly it would naturally be, if he is an aggressive opponent and sees us the same way. This would allow him to call down his middle pair. Remember that he did not show any particular strength (besides calling). OP - what did you mean with "donkish"? Weak-passive or loose-aggressive? If I decided to go all the way with my hand, a bet-call-line on the river would be best for me. A shove may scare off weaker hands, a check may not getting any more money in the pot. A seemable "weak" bet of 1/2 pot size is either called (which brings more money) or induces a bluff-push (which we previously decided to call anyway). What about this line? |
