Reads on villain would help.
Anyway, readless I check-raise all-in. He probably doesn't raise flop with a boat. He may have an 8 but would often flat call flop with that as well. He can turn up with many pp's here, maybe even 79 or something. Fwiw I like check-raising turn a lot more than leading out as I think this way gets more value out of 99/77 type hands.

I dont't know what your plan was when you called the flop raise. But a good play is to call and c/r ai on the turn. So shove here, which seems to be what you did.

I guess he had a 8 or JJ but I don't see how you can get away from this against an unknown.

I agree with the rest of the ppl here, c/r AI on the turn. This isn't exactly what I would consider a tough spot for KK. Often times when I think of tough spot for KK, it involves an Ace on the board.
