I have $6.8 left but I really don't want to pot it because I reckon villain is going to fold to that. If I was deeper I would bet $5, but that commits me and it seems like there's not point doing so?

Should I just push anyway?

One good reason simply to push here is that Villain could be on a draw (spades, T9, even KQ), and even though he might fold that draw to a push, you aren't getting any more money on the river from those hands if Villain misses. Betting 1/2 pot gets value from a draw but also gives reasonable odds, once we take implied odds into account.

Meanwhile, if Villain has an ace or better, one of you is going to lose $10 on the hand regardless (most likely him).

If he has a hand like a stubborn QJ, I'd imagine he'll give up now to any bet that isn't ridiculously small.

So I'm thinking you might as well go ahead and push. One slight advantage to betting 1/2 pot is that Villain might interpret that as weak and checkraise all-in with a worse hand, but, really, he should see that you're pretty much committed after that 1/2 pot bet and probably aren't folding, say, KK anyway.

Odd spot here, I agree with Nick's assessment, and usually when theres a 3bet preflop the money goes in on the flop/turn if it does. I think this hand plays a little easier if you bet more on the flop, I really can't see him having something like KQ spades unless players at this level cold call 3bets OOP with that kind of hand.

It probably doesn't matter much what you do, I think it's worth betting $4 and putting the rest in on the river.
